Subscription management at the post?

Usually when we make a post in a forum, there will be some menu for subscription for the thread you post, like instant email, daily email, etc., however, I didn't see this kind of functions while making a post. So I wonder if it's possible to add it so that users can select the way they subscribe the topic?
